Answer:

  • Image distance is 20 cm behind the mirror .

Given:-

  • Object Distance ,u = -10 cm
  • Focal length ,f = -20 cm

To Find:-

  • Image distance is 20 cm in front of mirror .

Solution:-

As we have to calculate the image distance

Using Mirror Formula

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

where,

  • v is the Image Position
  • u is the object distance
  • f is the focal length

Substitute the value we get

→ 1/v = 1/f - 1/u

→ 1/v = -1/20 + 1/10

→ 1/v = -1+2/20

→ 1/v = 1/20

→ v = 20 cm

  • Hence, the image distance is 20 cm behind the mirror .
