If an object is placed at a distance of 10cm in front of a plane mirror how far would it be from its image???

Its one of the laws of reflection in plane mirrors that the distance of image from the mirror is equal to the distance between object and mirror . Thus, the distance between object and the image if the mirror is 10cm away from the object is :-

*  means object
+ means mirror
/ means image

<--------------------20cm------------------------>

then the distance between image and object is 20cm .
