distance = 5m+12m

=17m

displacement =root 119

Displacement =shortest distance:

by applying Pythagoras theorem,

h^2=b^2+p^2

h^2= 5^2+12^2

= 25+ 144

= 169

h. = 13m

hence displacement = 13m
