If an observer moves towards a plane mirror with a speed of 2 m/s, what is the speed of the image with respect to the observer?​

Solution =>

Let the speed of the observer with respect to the mirror be S m/s.

Then the speed of image with respect to the mirror will be -S m/s.

So, the speed of image wrt observer will be = S-(-S)

Given that

S = 4m/s

So, the speed of image with respect to observer = 4 + 4 = 8 m/s

An observer moves towards a stationary plane mirror at a speed of 4 m/s the speed of image with respect to mirror is 8 m/s.
