If an organism has 34 chromosomes what will be the number of chromosomes in the gametes formed in this organism

in case of the diploid organisms, the meiosis take place in only some specific cells called meiocyte. The gametes produced by the meiocytes are haploid. The apple meiocyte has 34 chromosomes after meiosis the gamete has 17 chromosomes
