SOLUTION:
Let p(x) = 4x² -17x + k - 4

On comparing with ax² + bx + c
a= 4, b= -17 , c= k- 4

Given, α and 1/α are the zeroes of p(x).
Product of zeroes(α.1/α)= c/a

α.1/α = (k-4)/4
1 ×4 = k-4
4+4 = k
k = 8

Hence, the value of k is 8.
