Given: alpha and beta are the zeroes of quadratic polynomial.

x²-kx+15=0 .... (Quadratic polynomial)

(alpha+beta) ²-2×alpha×beta=34...... (Given) .. (1)

Comparing the above quadratic equation with ax+bx +c=0

therefore, a=1 ,b=-k and c=15

alpha+beta=-b/a

=k

alpha×beta=c/a

=15

therefore, substituting the value in equation (1)

k²-2×15=34

k²-30=34

k²=34+30

k²=64

k=8

Therefore, Value of k is 8.
