Let alpha be 'p and beta be 'q' (just for the sake of writning)

we know , from the question that,

p+q =-b/a (1)

pq = c/a (2)

so, (p-q)2 = p2 + q2 - 2pq

=> (p+q)2 +2pq - 2pg

=> (p+)2 ( from (1) )

=>( -b/a)2 = b2/a2

=> b-a = b/a... Answer!
