If α and β are the zeros of the polynomial p(x)=X2 –4X+3, then α +β=?​

Comparing above equation with standard quadratic polynomial ax2+bx+c=0 we get

a=1,b=−4

Let α,β be roots of p(x)

 

∴α+β=−ab=−1(−4)=4, which is a positive integer.
