_____________________________________________________________

y^2 + 5y + m

a + B = -b/a

a + B = -5/1

a + B = -5 ---(1)

Now,

aB = c/a

aB = m/1

aB = m ---(2)

Lets substitute (1) and (2) now!

(a+B)^2 - aB = 24

(-5)^2 - m = 24

25 - m = 24

m = 25 - 24

m = 1

Cheers! :)
