An. 1 = An. 2
4x = 60
x = 60/4 = 15
x = 15

now,
An. 4 = An. 1 (vertically opposite angles)
x+2y = 60 (An. 2 = An. 1)
15+2y = 60
2y = 45
y = 22.5

Given that ∠1 = ∠2

⇒ 4x = 60

⇒ x = 60 ÷ 4

x = 15°

------------------------------------------------------------------

4 = ∠1 (Vertically opposite)

x + 2y = 4x

We have found that x = 15

⇒ 15 + 2y = 4(15)

⇒ 15 + 2y = 60

⇒ 2y = 35

y = 22.5


Answer: x = 15 and y = 22.5
