Given that ∠1 = ∠2
⇒ 4x = 60
⇒ x = 60 ÷ 4
⇒ x = 15°

x + 2y = 4x
We have found that x = 15
⇒ 15 + 2y = 4(15)
⇒ 15 + 2y = 60
⇒ 2y = 35
⇒ y = 22.5
