\huge\mathbf{Answer}

Given

∆ABC\sim ∆RSM ,AB = 10cm, BC = 12cm, RS = 5cm.

To Find:- SM = ?

We know that:

In a pair of similar triangles, the corresponding sides are proportional.

\dfrac{AB} {RS}\:=\:\dfrac{BC} {SM}\:=\:\dfrac{AC} {RM}

\dfrac{10} {5}\:=\:\dfrac{12} {SM}[Don't take AC and RM sides]

SM\:=\:\dfrac{12 ×5} {10}

SM\:=\:6cm

Therefore, SM Is 6cm.
