angle BAC = 50°

angle BAC is inscribed in arc BC.

We know that,

angle BAC = 1/2 m(arc BC) - Inscribed angle theorem

:. m (arc BC) = 100° - (i)

angle BOC is the central angle.

:. angle BOC = 100° - Converse of definition of minor arc.

In triangle BOC,

seg OC =~ seg OB - radii of same circle

:. triangle BOC is an Isoceles triangle.

since seg OB = seg OC,

:. angle OBC =~ angle OCB. - Isoceles triangle theorem

:. angle OBC = angle OCB = x

In triangle OBC,

angle BOC + OBC + OCB = 180° - sum of measures of angles in a triangle.

100° + x + x = 180°

2x = 180° - 100°

2x = 80°

x = 40°
