Answer :

Angle between two vectors = 120°

We have to find resultant vector of two vectors.

By triangle law or parallelogram law of vector addition, the magnitude of resultant vector R at two vectors A and B inclined to each other at angle β, is given by

R² = A² + B² + 2AB cosβ

Here, angle (β) = 120°

➝ R² = A² + B² + 2AB cos120°

We know that, cos120° = -1/2

➝ R² = A² + B² + 2AB (-1/2)

➝ R² = A² + B² - AB
