if angle BOC =(7 x + 20 )degree, angle COA =3 X and angle AOB is a straight line, then x = ?

From the figure and hint

we know that angle BOC nadir angle AOC are in the linear pair

so that angle sum is = 180°

so ,

angle AOC + angle BOC = 180°

(3X)° + (7X + 20)° = 180°

3X + 7X + 20 = 180

10X + 20 = 180

10X = 180 - 20

10X = 160

X = 16
