Answer:

3/2 + x/2 = 8 [the base will get cancelled as they are same]

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=> (3 + x)/2= 8

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=> 3 + x = 16

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=> x = 16 - 3

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀=> x = 13
