Answer:

The remainder when square of positive integer 5 is divided by 3 is 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

If any positive integers gives remainder 2 when divided by 3

∵  Dividend = divisor × quotient + remainder

Let The positive integer 5

If  5 divided by 3

If  5 divided by 3 in 1 times

i.e 5 = 3 × 1 + 2

So, Dividend = 5

      divisor = 3

      quotient = 1

      remainder = 2

Thus The number = 5

Again

The square of number = 5²

Or, square of number = 25

Now, here 25 is divided by 3

So, ∵  Dividend = divisor × quotient + remainder

i.e 25 = 3 × 8 + 1

Thus the remainder = 1

Hence, The remainder when square of positive integer 5 is divided by 3 is 1 Answer
