Answer:

Iodine is a chemical that turns purple when mixed with starches, and orange when mixed with sugars. When you mixed saliva with the cracker, amylase in your saliva broke down some of the cracker's starches into sugars, making the iodine less purple and slightly yellow."

Answer:

Saliva in test tube A digests the starch present in crushed potato.

Explanation:

Actually what happened here is the digestion of starch which was present in crushed potato by the salivary amylase which converted starch into simpler sugars like maltose. As we did iodine test, blue colour appears in the presence of starch, but as there is no starch left in test tube A, no colour was obtained in that test tube!
