let u = initial velocity = 20m/s and V = final velicity = 30 m/s ...and S be the distance travelled. Then v^2 - u^2 = 2 a S , where a is the acceleration. From this as = 250.
Now at half way path
let speed be V1 then
V1 ^2 - 20 ^2 = 2a S/2
putting the value of as ( as obtained above )
we get V1 = 25.4950 m/s.
So ans is ( b )
