let nth term of First AP be x
then,
X = a +(n-1)d
= 9 + (n-1)(-2)
Let nth term of second AP be Y
then
Y = a+(n-1)d
= 15 + (n-1)(-3)
According to question X = Y
=> 9 + (n-1)(-2) = 15 + (n-1)(-3)
=> -2n+2+3n-3 = 15-9
=> n = 6+1
=> n = 7
then,
X = a +(n-1)d
= 9 + (n-1)(-2)
Let nth term of second AP be Y
then
Y = a+(n-1)d
= 15 + (n-1)(-3)
According to question X = Y
=> 9 + (n-1)(-2) = 15 + (n-1)(-3)
=> -2n+2+3n-3 = 15-9
=> n = 6+1
=> n = 7
