if purple is dominant

No we don't

PP Indicates that P is a dominant allele therefore purple is the dominant trait

In the F1 generation we will find the genotype of all the offspring Pp

So all of them will be purple

Only because purple being dominant can also express itself in a heterogeneous allele state.

Hope it helps
