 \alpha + \beta = - b \div a \\ \: \alpha \times \beta = c \div a
so
putting formula we get
 \alpha + \beta = - b \div a = - ( - 2) \div 1 \\ 2 \div 1 = 2 \\ \alpha \times \beta = c \div a = - 8 \div 1 = - 8 \\ so 2alpha = 2×2=4 and 2beta= 2×-8=-16
so equation is x^2+6x-16
