pacharemeena90: 20000 =ma not mg
amitabh502: do you that acceleration is also known as acceleration due to gravity
saumysharan25: Only when the object is in free fall
saumysharan25: Here it will be f=ma
amitabh502: ok but here ur question is asked about weight and weight of the object can be derived by w=mg that's why i take the equation w=mg if u don't want to take this equation than u would take F=ma ok
amitabh502: in that case the weight is also 800N
pacharemeena90: ohhhhh yahh
shibam62: according to the given data i ve answered

Force/area=pressure,so force=20000*0.04,and this is equal to 800
now,as pressure is the force acting downwards
and weight also acts downwards,we can write
F=Weight
so,weight=800
