area=36

so, let l be (x)

w(breadth) be (x)

so

area=l*b

36=x*x

36=x2(square)

x=36(2) square

x=6cm

so l=6cm and b=6cm

perimeter=2(l+b)

let l be x

let w(Breadth) be x

so

30=2(l+b)

30=2(x+x)

30=2(2x)

30=4x

x=30/4

x=7.5cm

dorri: why did you took length & width common??

Area
36=l×b
36/b = l

Perimeter
30= 2(l+b)
30=2(36/b+b) [putting value of l as 36/b]
15b= 36 + b²
b²-15b+36
Splitting the Middle term
b²-12b-3b+36
b(b-12) -3(b-12)
(b-12) & (b-3)
b= 12 & 3

So, length=12, breadth=3(as we know, length is greater than breadth)

You can also verify it.

Hope it helps you :)
