Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Area of a square is 6m²

To find :-

Find it's perimeter and also find the cost of fencing it at the rate of $16/metre ?

Solution :-

Given that

Area of a square = 6 m²

We know that

Area of a square whose side is a units = a² sq.units

=> a² = 6 m²

=> a = ±√6 m

Since the side cannot be negative

Therefore, a = √6 m

The side of the square = √6 m

We know that

Perimeter of a square = 4a units

Perimeter of the given square

=> P = 4(√6) m

=> P = 4√6 m

and

The cost of fencing it one metre = $16

The total cost of fencing the total square

=> $ 4√6 × 16

=> $ 64 √6

Answer :-

The perimeter of the square = 4√6 m

The total cost of fencing the square

= $ 64√6

Used formulae:-

→ Area of a square whose side is a units

= a² sq.units

→ Perimeter of a square = 4a units
