If area of a square plate is 100m sq., then what is the side length of the square plate and it's perimeter.​

Given,

area of square plate = 100m sq.

area of square = side × side = side sq.

100m sq. = side sq. (units does not matter)

100 = side sp.

√100 = side

10m = side.

Therefore, length of each side is 10m.

Solution:

(i)Area of square =>side×side

=>100= side²

=>√100=side

side=>10m.

(ii)Perimeter of square=>4(side)

=>4(10)

=>40m.

Hence, the side & perimeter of square field are 10m & 40m respectively.
