Hi ,
area of the parallelogram = A = 60 cm²
altitude = h = 5cm
let the side length = b cm
bh = A
b × 5 = 60
b = 60 /5
b = 12 cm
I hope this helps you.

Given: ar (ABCD)=60cm^2
AE=5cm
To find: the base=BC
Solution: formula for area of the ||gm=b×h
60cm^2=b×5cm
=>60/5=b
=>12cm=b i.e. the corresponding side
Hope it may help you...
