Given:

Area of quadrant of a circle = 38.5 sq cm

Area of Circle = 4* Area of quadrant of a circle = 4* 38.5 sq cm [Since there are 4 quadrants in a circle] ——> 1

Area of Circle = (pi)*(radius)^2 ——> 2

(pi)*(radius)^2 = 4* 38.5

(22/7)*(radius)^2 = 4* 38.5

(radius)^2 = 4* 38.5 * (7/22)

radius^2 = (38.5 * 7)/11

radius^2 = 24.5

radius = sqrt(24.5)

radius ~ 4.9 cm

diameter = 2*radius ~ 2*4.9 ~ 9.8 cm

The diameter of quadrant of a circle is "14 cm".

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

The area of quadrant of a circle = 38.5cm^2

To find, the diameter of quadrant of a circle = ?

We know that,

The area of quadrant of a circle = \dfrac{\pi}{4} r^{2}

⇒  \dfrac{1}{4}\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times r^{2}=38.5

⇒  r^{2}=\dfrac{38.5\times 28}{22} =\dfrac{1078}{22} =49

r^{2}=7^{2}

⇒ r = 7 cm

∴ The diameter of quadrant of a circle = 2 × r = 2 × 7 cm= 14 cm

Hence, the diameter of quadrant of a circle is "14 cm".
