If area of quadrant of a circle is 38.5 square centimeter then its diameter is 14 cm

Solution:

Given that area of quadrant of circle = 38.5 cm^2

So area of circle = 4 x area of quadrant

= 4 x 38.5 = 154 cm^2

Area of circle is given as:

Area = \pi \mathrm{r}^{2}

=>\pi \mathrm{r}^{2}=154

Given that π = \frac{22}{7}

\mathrm{r}^{2}= \frac{154}{pi}

r^{2}=\frac{154}{\frac{22}{7}}

\begin{array}{l}{=>\mathrm{r}^{2}=7 \mathrm{x} 7=7^{2}} \\ {=>\mathrm{r}=7}\end{array}

Diameter = 2 x radius = 2 x 7 = 14.

Hence diameter of circle = 14 cm.
