It is given that,

In a triangle ( right - angled ),

  • Area = 48 cm
  • Altitude = 8 cm

We know that,

AREA OF THE TRIANGLE

= 1/2 × Base × Height

Substitute the known values in the above formula.

we get,

48 = 1/2 × b × 8

➡ 48 = 4b

➡ b = 48/4

° b = 12

Hence,

Base of the given triangle is 12 cm.

Answer:

\huge\bold\red{ solution }

given;

area of triangle = 48cm ^{2}

altitude = 8cm

now ;

area of ∆ =  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height \\

48 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times 8 \\  \\ 48 = 4b \\  \\ b =  \frac{48}{4}  \\ b = 12 \\  \\ hence \: base \:  = 12cm
