Most of the plants and industries, use gage pressure to indicate the operating pressure. This is actually , excluding absolute pressure. Normally utility gas pressure in the plants will be around 70 psig(482 kPa). 70+14.7=84.7 psia. This is the supply line or header pressure. It may again be regulated near the burners.

mm Hg is seldom used for pressures, above atmosphere pressures(760mm Hg). For vacuum measurements, we use, 1mmHg=1torr.
