 \small\bold{(ax^3+2)^2=a^2x^6+x^3+4}

  \small\bold{a^2x^6+4+4ax^3=a^2x^6+x^3+4}

 \bold{4ax^3=x^3}

 \bold{4ax^3-x^3=0}

 \bold{x^3(4a-1)=0}

 \small \bold{So  \: either  \: x=0 \:  or  \: 4a-1=0}

 \bold{or  \: 4a=1}

 \bold{ a =  \frac{1}{4} }
