Let x=-2,

a(-2)3 + b(-2)2 -5(-2) +2=0

-8a+4b+10+2=0

-8a+4b+12=0   ...... (i)

CASE(II)

Let x=2

a(2)3 +b(2)2-5(2) +2=12

8a +4b-10+2=12

8a+4b-8=12

8a+4b=20   ........(ii)

from (i) and(ii)

-8a+4b=-12                                                                                                                      8a+4b=20

8b=8                                                                                                                                                                                   b=1
