Answer:

ax+by=a^2-b^2

bx+ay=0

adding,

ax+by+bx+ay=a^2-b^2

=> a(x+y)+b(x+y)=a^2-b^2

=> (x+y)(a+b)=a^2-b^2

=> x+y=(a+b)(a-b)/(a+b)

=> x+y=a-b
