answer is sp3d bcoz for a molecule AX3 to be polar their should be presence of a lone pair over it as shown in pic -

AX₃ molecule hybridization state is sp³.

  • The hybridization of a molecule tells about the shape and geometry of the molecule.
  • It is calculated as follows-

        H = number of bonded atoms + number of lone pairs

        H = BP + LP

  • In AX₃ , bonded atoms are three i.e. 3 X atoms attached to A.
  • As the molecule is polar in nature, that means it has a lone pair of electrons in its structure.
  • therefore, H = 3 + 1 = 4
  • Hybridization, H =4 corresponds to sp³state as the molecule is polar and planer.
