Given as :

Original height of Parallelogram = h  unit

Original base of Parallelogram  = b unit

New height of Parallelogram is doubles

New base of Parallelogram is tripled

To Find :

New Area of Parallelogram

Solution :

∵ New height of Parallelogram is doubles

So, New height of Parallelogram = h' = 2 h

∵ New base of Parallelogram is tripled

So, New base of Parallelogram = b' = 3 b

Now,

∵  Area of a Parallelogram = Height × Base

So, Area of original parallelogram = height × base

                                                  = h × b

Similarly

Area of new parallelogram = height × base

                                                  = h' × b'

                                                  = 2 h × 3 b

                                                  = 6 × h × b

So, The Area of new parallelogram = 6 × Area of original parallelogram

Hence, Area of new parallelogram become 6 times area of original parallelogram  .
