here, u= 15 m/s; a= -9.8 m/s and final velocity v= 0

since, v^2= u^2+ 2as
0= 15^2 - 2*9.8*s
19.6s= 225
s=11.5 m <------Ans

From third equation of freely falling body due to gravity i.e.

G=9.8

V=0

U=15

S=?

V=u^2-2 g s

0=225 - 19.6 s

19.6 s=225

S=225/19.6

S=11.5
