if body of mass 2kg moving with 15 m/s collide with stationary body of same mass then after elasitic collisoon the 2nd body will move with velocity ( kindly explain with mathemtical proof)​

By conservation of linear

2v0 = 2( \frac{v0}{4}) + mv =  =  > 2v0 =  \frac{v0}{2}  + mv =  =  >  \frac{3v0}{2}  = mv....1

since collision is elastic

v \: separation=v \: apprach⇒v−4v0=v0⇒45v0=v....(2)</p><p>

 \frac{mv0}{4}  = m( \frac{5v0}{4} ) =  &gt; m =  \frac{6}{5}  = 1.2kg
