let equation of ellipse

: x^2/a + y^2 /b = 1

so when a = b then then given equation of ellipse will be equation of circle..

here no rectangular circle term does not exist in co-ordinate geometry. It's given by our scientist so we have to assume what else to be given..

we can't change or pridict any name of any given name by scientist.

like if Force is equal to mass × acceleration Torque = moment of inertia × angular acceleration. then we can't say mass as moment of inertia ...but by application of physics we can see that both mass and moment of inertia plays same role both opposes the motion but we can't say mass is equal to moment of inertia.

hope it will help u..

from my opinion skip thinking these why we name this as that then why that is not those...
