  • It says whenever there is a change in magnetic flux through a coil with respect to time, an emf is induced.

Now, when the coil and magnet remain stationary with respect to each other, there would not be any change in magnetic field and thus the magnetic flux with respect to time.Hence, no emf is induced.

Now, V = IR

V = 0 , Hence, I = 0.

---> Net current in the coil is zero

Therefore, Galvanometer would not show any deflection.
