Let the length be x..

PERIMETER OF THE RECTANGLE

=2(LENGTH+BREADTH)

156=2(x+27)

156=2x+54

2x=156-54

2x=102

x=102/2

x=51

Therefore,the length is 51.

Answer :-

  • Length of Rectangle = 51 cm.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Breadth of Rectangle = 27 cm.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 156 cm.

To Find :

  • Length of Rectangle.

Solution :

Let the Length be x.

We know that,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b).

➞ 2(x + 27) = 156 cm.

➞ 2x + 54 = 156 cm.

➞ 2x = 156 - 54.

➞ 2x = 102.

➞ x = 102 ÷ 2.

x = 51 cm.

Therefore, Length of Rectangle = 51 cm.

Verification :

➞ 2(x + 27) = 156 cm.

➞ 2(51 + 27) = 156 cm.

➞ 2 × 78 = 156 cm.

➞ 156 = 156 cm.

LHS = RHS.

Hence, Verified.
