if breadth of a rectange is fourth of its length and perimeter of a rectangle is 20 cm then find area of rectangle

Answer:

Length = x

Breadth= 4x

Perimeter = 20 cm

→ 2(x+4x) = 20

→ 2×5x = 20

→ 5x = 20/2

→ 5x = 10

→ x = 10/5

→ x = 2

So length = 2 cm and breadth = 8 cm.

Area = 2 × 8

= 16

So, area is 16 cm².
