If bright light is focused on your eye , you closes your eyes. What is the reason behind this?
Is their any involvement of brain in this action done by you.​

The Iris suddenly contracts due to the high intensity of light focused in our eye that makes the pupil contract .

Thus to prevent any damage of the bright light on our eyes we close our eyes as a reflexive action
