Solution :

selling price of an article ( s.p) = Rs390

gain( g ) = 20%

Let the cost price ( c.p ) = Rs x

x = ( s.p × 100 )/( 100 + g )

= ( 390 × 100 )/( 100 + 20 )

= ( 390 × 100 )/120

= 325

Therefore ,

cost price of an article = x = Rs 325

Answer:

325

Step-by-step explanation:

selling price of an article ( s.p) = Rs390

gain( g ) = 20%

Let the cost price ( c.p ) = Rs x

x = ( s.p × 100 )/( 100 + g )

= ( 390 × 100 )/( 100 + 20 )

= ( 390 × 100 )/120

= 325

Therefore ,

cost price of an article = x = Rs 325
