SOLUTION

GIVEN

 \sf{ {(c - 3)}^{2} =  {c}^{2}  + kc + 9 }

TO DETERMINE

The value of k

EVALUATION

Here the given equation is

 \sf{ {(c - 3)}^{2} =  {c}^{2}  + kc + 9 }

 \sf{  \implies \:  {c}^{2}  - 2 \times c \times 3 +  {3}^{2}  =  {c}^{2}  + kc + 9 }

 \sf{  \implies \:  {c}^{2}  - 6c+  9  =  {c}^{2}  + kc + 9 }

Comparing both sides we get

k = - 6

FINAL ANSWER
