How?

As how much amount will be greater of cp than sp ,that amount is loss.

eg:

Cp=12

Sp =10

Loss=Cp-Sp

=12-10

=2

So owr loss comes 2

Somewhat same happens in case to find profit.

Profit=Sp-Cp

As the total amount of sp which would be greater than sp will be owr profit
