Hey mate here is ur answer =

If the ratio of combinations is 3:8.

Then it means 3 moles of carbon dioxide will react with 8 moles of oxygen.

Mass of 3 moles of carbon=3×12=36gm

Mass of 8 moles of oxygen=8×16=128gm

36 gm------->requires 128 gm

10 gm--------->requires x gm.

Now they are in definite proportion

36/10=128/x

x=128×10/36

x=35.56 gm.

So answer is 35.56 gm.

hope it helps.
