Number of moles of O₂ gas in 32 grams = given mass/molar mass = 32/32 = 1

The equation is;

C + O₂ --------> CO₂

So, 1 mole of Carbon will burn with 1 mole of Oxygen gas (O₂) to give out 1 mole of CO₂.

Mass of 1 mole of Carbon dioxide (CO₂) = 1 x 44 = 44 grams

Therefore 44 grams of Carbon dioxide is formed.

Hope it helps!!
