AP=AS,DS. =DR, CR=CQ ,BQ=BP and A-P-B, B -Q -C, C- R- D, A- S- D

now, AB+CD=AP+PB+CR+RD

=AS+ BQ +CQ+ DS

=AS+ DS +BQ +CQ

=AD +BC

thus, AB+CD=AD+BC
