let lower term of class be X and upper term be Y
class mark = X + Y/ 2
10 = X + Y/2
20 = X + Y .... (1)
class width = Y - X
6 = Y - X .... (2)
On subtracting equation (2) from (1)
20 - 6 = X + Y - Y + X
14 = 2X
X = 14/2
X = 7 = lower limit
on putting X in equation (2)
6 = Y - X
6 = Y - 7
Y = 7 + 6 = 13 = upper limit
Ans. Class = 7 - 13
